Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Atlas collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the platform.

1. Information we collect

Account information: your email, name, and authentication credentials (passwords are hashed and managed by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text).

Learning data: your progress, quiz scores, bookmarks, notes, highlights, study streak, selected learning path, and simulator activity — used to power your dashboard and recommendations.

AI interactions: prompts and documents you submit to AI features are processed to generate responses and may be stored to provide conversation history. Do not paste sensitive personal data (account numbers, SSNs, credentials).

Payment information: billing is handled by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.

2. How we use your information

To provide and personalize the platform, track your progress, generate recommendations, process payments, secure the service against abuse, and communicate important account and service messages.

3. Service providers

We rely on trusted processors to operate Atlas, including Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and an AI provider (for AI features). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards.

4. Data security and retention

Your data is protected by access controls and row-level security so that you can only access your own records. We retain your data while your account is active and delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period after account deletion, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your rights and choices

You can view and edit much of your data in the app, update your email and password in account settings, control whether your profile is public, and request deletion of your account. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Email communications

We send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing receipts) necessary to operate your account. Any non-essential communications will offer an unsubscribe option.
